Karissa Gamberini (she/they)

Karissa Gamberini is a graduate of Aveda Institute Portland and a self-described artist of self-expression. During her time at Aveda Institute, she found her passions to be fashion color, balayage/lived in blonding, razor cutting, and everything curly. While focusing on her craft as a stylist, Karissa also enjoys exploring other areas of the industry, such as editorial fashion and runway. She's styled for Portland city fashion shows, including local brand and 2022 Portland Fashion NXT winner, Gutter Girl.

When she's not behind the chair, Karissa enjoys reading with coffee, collaging old magazines, and spending time with her friends throughout the city. She loves learning about interior design, especially the mid-century modern era, and keeping up on Vogue's latest trends both for the hair world and her closet. When needing inspiration for a new hairstyle, she watches her favorite tv show, Sex and The City, or early 2000s fashion shows to give her a fresh sense of creativity.

She continues her education through the mentorship program under salon owner Scott Kane and the Business Fashion Associates Program at Parsons's New School of Fashion, NYC.
